Teen Talks Series
What? Facilitated by Ty of I AM DIVA GIRL, youth counselor Toni Williams, MA, LMHCA and Drew Campbell of Shine Kinesthetics; This weekly check-in series is to give youth a virtual space committed to healthy reflection and dialogue to build self-esteem, self-confidence, and envisioning the possibilities of lfe striving to reach their full potential. Participants are encouraged to journal between weekly events and be prepared to discuss how to navigate obstacles they're facing in their environment boldly and respectfully. Youth, between ages 10 and 25, will be provided a $25 participation stipend.

Washington State School Discipline Appeal Training
What? TeamChild is sharing how to prepare, argue, and win a school discipline appeal hearing. The first part of this two-part training will be an overview of the discipline appeal process and how school discipline hearings work. The second part will be a discipline hearing workshop where you can practice being a parent/advocate in a virtual staged discipline hearing. TeamChild staff will partner with all participants to prepare for your role in the practice hearing and help everyone learn how to be a strong advocate. We will use a pretend scenario as an example of a discipline incident. The purpose of this training is for TeamChild to share information and work with all of the attendees to get involved and put the learning into practice.
